Read on for the perfect Coffs Harbour itinerary.

What kind of traveller are you? Are you go-with-the-flow, or are you a more organised traveller?  That person rustling around, frantically looking for their passport at the check-in desk, or that document-wallet carrying perfectionist?

Well, however you like organise your holidays, creating an itinerary is never a bad idea. List all of those amazing activities you don’t want to miss, and ensure your family makes the most of their vacation.  Ride a horse?  Tick! Eat at a local restaurant? Tick! Walk along a beach? Tick! Remember, this isn’t a strict regime you have to stick to – it’s more like a set of guidelines.

Keep it simple, don’t pack too much into a single day and find some time to relax in between activities.

One of amazing Wyndham guests, Colin, recently created the ultimate itinerary for his family holiday at Club Wyndham Coffs Harbour. Read on and become an itinerary genius who doesn’t miss a beat on holiday.

Day 1

Begin with a ride on a Segway at Timeout Adventures before driving to Bellingen for lunch at the Federal Hotel and visiting the Raleigh Winery overlooking the Bellinger River to enjoy a glass or two of wine (purchase some of the good stuff) and their finest cheese platter. Enjoy a feed of local seafood for dinner on the way back to the resort.

Our Suggestion: A relaxing dip in the pool before dinner is a nice way to wrap up the day.

Day 2

Big Banana

A visit to the world famous Big Banana is a must. Visit the theatre, enjoy a plantation tour, play a round of mini golf and down a banana smoothie or banana split while having a light lunch in the cafe. After an active morning, have a relaxing afternoon watching a movie at the local cinema. Dinner at a recommended eatery.

Our Suggestion: Why not visit one of the area’s many national parks to take in the beautiful scenery?

Day 3

A gentle stroll to check out the shopping in the city centre and Promenade areas of Coffs Harbour (can’t go home without a souvenir or postcard), before having a light lunch at Mangrove Jacks on the Promenade. On the way back to the resort, visit Carobana to buy some confectionery to eat while watching a DVD during the evening after letting our hair down and having take away for dinner with a nice bottle of local wine.

Our Suggestion: Visit the dolphins at the Dolphin Marine Conservation Park to make some incredible memories.

Day 4

Begin the day with a visit to the Butterfly House as we begin our tour of the southern beaches area, visiting Sawtell and Urunga on the way to our final destination of Nambucca Heads. Opportunity to enjoy some scenery, check out the local galleries and stop for coffee and lunch on the spur of the moment. Upon return to Coffs Harbour, dine at another recommended eatery before snuggling up in front of another DVD with a local wine (and more confectionery of course!).

Our Suggestion: When you’re visiting the butterflies, zip across to the North Coast Regional Botanic Gardens – they’re absolutely sensational.

Day 5

A sleep-in before going for a stroll along the local jetty and marina, stopping for lunch at one of the seafront restaurants. Our 5 day adventure would conclude with a scenic flight over the Coffs region with Precision Helicopters before returning to the resort to enjoy a relaxing drink around the pool or in the lounge with other owners and holiday makers. Pizza delivered for dinner.

Our Suggestion: Wow, Colin has got this itinerary thing covered. Go Colin!
